We now also have an electric hot tub that is situated just by the lake. This is the kind that bubbles. It does need regular checks of the water to check the pH and clarity. The water is tested and changed on a regular basis.

The usual cost is  between £30 (short break) and £45 (for a week) for the electric hot tub only (not for both tubs)

In extreme weather i.e. freezing temperatures a £5 surcharge may be added.

If you wish to have a fresh batch of water for your tub there is an additional cost of  approximately £20. This is on top of the usual cost of between £30 (short break) and £45 (for a week) which is for the upkeep of the tub and the provision of chemicals and electricity charges.

Note if you wish to have a water change, this means that the hot tub will not be ready straight away on your arrival as it takes up to 24 hours to bring the  water up to temperature  on a cold day.

If you do wish to have a water change we will need plenty of warning for this (e.g. a week) so that we can refill and reheat the tub.

The commercial recommendation is to change the water every 2 months as the chemicals purify and clarify the water along with the filters that are changed and cleaned weekly.

This tub is easy to use and means that you do not have to light a fire as with the wood burning hot tub. It is easy to regulate the temperature.

Please do not wear fake tan when going into the tub.

No smoking in the tub.

Additional information about the use of the hot tub is on a sign at Water's Edge.

Care must be taken when removing the hot tub lid. The handles must be used. Do not leave the lid on the floor and replace the lid when not in use.

If the water is spoiled by the addition of food or alcohol then a charge may be taken out of your deposit.

DEPOSIT - please note that a £100 returnable deposit is required for the hot tub and a £50 deposit for the boats ( to cover potential losses of paddles/ damage e.t.c) Deposit is only acceptable in CASH. Use of the equipment is not allowed until a deposit is paid.
