There are a number of boats available.

*****There is a limited capacity on each boat which will be explained to you****

****The rowing boat if for no more than 3 adults (or 2 adults and 2 children)****

No engines can be used on boats due to insurance limitations.

I can take guests on a guided tour of the lake in my own powered boat.

No jet skis are allowed on the lake.

There is a sailing club on the lake and a launch site and slip way at the Dam End if you wish to bring your own sailing boat.

You can bring your own canoes if you wish.

Extreme care must be taken when getting in and out of the boats.

At weekends and in summer there are usually  safety/rescue  boats on the lake and a Ranger.

The Ranger will check boats to see if life jackets are being worn.

You will be asked to sign the following disclaimer if you wish to use boats:

Boat Disclaimer

All boats are used at the risk of the guests. If you have any concerns about your ability to use the boats then we would recommend that you refrain from doing so. Life jackets should be used at all times.

I have read the above and take full responsibility for any loss or injury that may occur as a result of using the boats.

Note - no alcohol or illicit substances to be consumed on the boats. We have had one full on rescue this year (2009) and it is vital that all boat users wear life jackets and keep of any private land. There are rangers that patrol the lake and monitor the activity of any boats. Please do not annoy local residents , fishermen, rangers , landowners etc. Thanks Mark
